The Joy of Cycling

Cycling began for me like many others kids growing up in the ‘70s. BMX was all the rage in California and was spreading throughout the nation. Growing up in the state of Washington, where BMX tracks were a rarity, it meant riding our bikes in the streets and in the woods. For me, riding was a way to explore the world. Riding BMX quickly evolved into Mountain Biking and then ultimately into Road Cycling. To this day, I still enjoy riding my JMC 24” cruiser—just a lot slower.

Artisan Cycles was born in 2010 from my passion for cycling, exploration, and making things.
